Blocked waterways, pollution, illegal dumping, and unchecked development were weakening the wetlands, nature’s built-in defense system against flooding. In response, we came together and started restoring what was lost. What began as a few community members soon became a movement.
Today, AEPA stands as a voice for the wetlands and the people who depend on them.
