We've successfully restored two degraded swamp ecosystem by removing invasive species,improving waterflow, and planting native vegetation.

People thought wetlands were just dirty places. AEPA helped us see their beauty and power. They are our protectors during floods.
I never knew I could help restore the swamp behind our school. AEPA made it happen.
When the rains came, our homes used to flood every year. Since the swamp restoration began, we’ve seen real change. The water flows better and so does our hope.
Before AEPA came, we thought the floods were just bad luck. Now, we understand how the swamps work and how we can protect them.
